My mug for the day ☕ Love Chick-fil-A! Just coffee with cream. Keeping it simple on a Friday.



Saturday's coffee.
Just cream today 🐄 Enjoying coffee from a Darth Vader ☕ mug. This one belongs to Brent. He received the mug as a CHRISTmas gift from his sister.


Monday's coffee: drip coffee with a tablespoon of butter, MCT oil, and a scoop of vanilla bean protein powder.☕

Tuesday's cup of java: drip coffee with a tablespoon of Kerrygold butter, MCT Oil, and a scoop of Vanilla Bean Protein Powder. Yum! Yup, that's why I'm drinking this yummy coffee in my YUM mug =)


Rainy, thunderyWednesday morning but it cleared up enough for me to take the kids swimming. I had an antioxidant and gelatin-rich coffee, with some healthy fats: butter & MCT Oil in a Snoopy mug.


This coffee and mug arrived in the mail for Josh. He let me be the first to drink out of it. I love the shape, size, and thickness.
Today I used my Aeropress. Made a gelatin rich antioxidant coffee with butter and MCT Oil. I was going to add a scoop of protein powder but wanted to taste the coffee since it was a new brand.

It's no secret that I absolutely LOVE the Thinking Tree journals and to tell you the truth I wasn't sure how to incorporate them in our homeschooling days this year. He's currently using: The Library Based Journal for Boys How to Make Money Timeline of World History Are You a Math Genius Word Hunt And he'll probably start United States Geography soon as well. Here is a page from his Library Based Journal. The lines on the copywork pages are too far apart for Ethan so we added some more. My 8th grade plans that I wrote back in June and it has changed a bit from in October too. Mostly the writing. I really need to buckle down and stick with a writing program with him. Yikes, crazy me. Ethan's Summer Learning Using The Thinking Tree (2017)

I'm challenging myself to have some summer learning fun with my kiddos for six weeks! Basically I want to make sure Ethan completes at least a few pages from two journals a day and two pages from Dyslexia Games Series C . One day it could be a few pages from his Learning Guide & Literature & Poetry . Another day from the Reading Time & Secret Diary . Eventually I'd like to have him writing in the Secret Diary daily but for now, a few pages a week will do. I'm going to do most of the reading during read aloud time and once done we both will pull out our journals (with him, either the Learning Guide or Reading Time) and have fun filling out the page or pages. It would be great if he does Math Genius daily but we'll shoot for two times a week. I want him to continue with his regular math four times a week.
