Strange Things are Happening

Strange things are happening with my blog.

  1.  my pages are gone at the top. I use to have different tabs
  2. The search button isn't there
  3. I just noticed today that my friends list is gone
Very strange. 

These are the journals we used today. Lance used the Autumn, Ethan used the Library Based Journal, and I the Winter.


I also completed some history today. It was my "teach-by-example" moment.
 It took be a good hour to complete this. I used the timelines that correspond with the Mystery of History. I hope to encourage Ethan =)
The kids and I watched Undercover Boss: Sky Zone. Ethan, Lance, and myself completed a Film Study Page.

Visit From My Sis!

My sister MaryEllen came for a visit. It was totally a God thing because she was here on business and it so happened that she normally would have worked Friday but didn't because it was Memorial Day. Meaning she could come with us to see Josh on Advancement Day  from ALERT Academy. We were all so excited. She arrived Saturday and was able to stay the weekend with us. Monday Lupe and I dropped her and Annette off in Fort Work at the Hilton. Annette stayed with her from Monday-Thursday. Thursday night we picked them both up. Friday-Sunday she stayed with us. Friday going to the ALERT campus to see Josh. We stayed overnight renting three dorm rooms (wish I would have taken pics). We came home Saturday and dropped MaryEllen off at the airport on Sunday. It was sad to see her go. BUT, we made the most of her stay. Since she was here for a quick visit, we had to hit all the coffee shops in one day! Our first stop was Shoemaker & Heardt Coffee Shop. This is Caleb two years ago. I believe it was taken in 2014.  Below is Caleb sitting in the same spot just a different angle. My baby has grown.  For the past two years he actually did most of his school in his bedroom but Lupe wants the kiddos to sit at the table or a desk because our kiddos would get to comfortable and fall asleep when they were suppose to be doing school.

Can Having Too Many Books Become Stressful?

Wow, it's been three months since I've blogged. I can't believe how little I've been blogging. A lot has happened here at Homeschooling6 in the past six months. One of the reasons blogging has slowed down is I haven't been inspired to write. I feel like there is not much happening (even though it's been crazy around here). Another reason is I have the worst luck with technology. For some odd reason, I can't get my photos from my phone or camera do upload to my computer. I have to upload them to Facebook and then download the pictures to my computer before I can use the pics. When I put them on Facebook I usually post them as a private picture. In May I started a weird journey of me wanting to get rid of stuff - and I can't believe I'm saying this but a lot of what was on my heart to get rid of was my books, yup, can't believe I typed that.
